A "Happening" Weekend...
It's been quite long since I last blogged... Erm... Well.. Not that I don't want to blog, but I don't know what to write. So.... that's why... Hee...Last weekend was really a happening weekend - not just because many things happened, but several unpleasant things happened too.
On Saturday morning, I woke up pretty late. Just slowly take my time to have breakfast, then paractise piano... Was supposed to watch a stage performance - Puccini's Turandot @ Esplanade. Just when I re-checked the timing of the show, I realised I've missed it. The ticket that I bought was for the show on 29 Aug (Fri) and not 30 Aug (Sat). So to compensate, I re-bought the tickets for the Monday night show (but of coz got a cheaper category ticket). Haiz... What a waste...
In the evening, I went for dinner with my boyfriend. Wanted to bring him to a place known for economical western food. When we reached that place, I realised that the shop is no longer there. What a day... it's really not my day... So in the end, we go to go somewhere else for dinner. Thankfully, that night's dinner wasn't too bad...
After dinner, we went to Marina @ Keppel Bay. Wow.... This is really a very beautiful place. It's very spacious and pretty quiet. Can find couples sitting around to enough the light breeze... I like that place too... Well, after a day of negative things happening, at last I get to enjoy something...
On Sunday morning, I woke up with a bad sore throat... So bad that it hurts to talk. I guess my boy suffered quite a little, coz he was busy running around to get medicine and lozenges to make me feel better. And also to keep talking to me when I refused to talk and only communicate by nodding and shaking of head... That must be quite tiring... Poor thing...
At night, we went to meet his dad who came down from JB to meet his uncle. While waiting, we kept him accompany for some time. Well well... I'm not good at talking. So I kept quiet and listen to them chatting...
After that, we went to M Hotel to attend Uncle Terence's Wedding. It's been really long since I last met up with the rest. Really nice to see everyone. As usual, Ginny is the laughing stalk. As we sat quite far from the stage, we could hardly see anything that's going on at the stage. So most of the time, we were self entertaining...
Dinner ended quite late, around 11+pm... When we got home, I took flu medicine and slept....
Monday, on MC... I was down with flu. Went to see doctor, took medicine and slept almost the whole day. It's really nice of him to rush and finish work early to come home and take care of me. With the long sleep, I recovered quite fast... By evening time, I was quite lively again... Ha ha...
In the evening, we went to Esplanade to watch Puccini's Turandot. Didn't know that it's not sang in English. Worse thing was that I forgot to bring my spectacles. So I could only rely on my sunglasses. Thankfully the lens were not too tinted. So it didn't turn out to be too dark. The show was pretty good, but probably it's not too good as a starter for opera-watching. Might be alittle too draggy or even considered boring. But well I think it's still pretty well done...
And today, back to office to work... Ha ha...
