Bangkok Trip: Day 1

Date: 11 July 2008 (Friday), 12pm

I left office happily to go home to meet up with Mummy for lunch, but before that, suddenly recalled that I need to get luggage tags. So rush to BHG & get them. Not bad.. quite cheap also. $6.90 for 2 leather luggage tags.

Reaching home, do some last minute checks and packing up before leaving for airport to have lunch. Alright now, all ready to go!!! いきましょう!

At Airport Terminal 2, Mummy & I weren't hungry. Probably, I'm too excited about the holiday trip. So we went to Yakun for some toast and drinks. At there, we chit chatted while waiting for time to pass 2pm...

It's finally 2pm... Keep holding and looking at my phone, waiting for a call or sms... much later, finally an sms came in. "I'm on my way to airport now... let me know where you are."

Some time later, my boy came... He once again re-assured Mummy that he'll take good care of me before we check-in to shop around in the transit area for DFS. Time really flies... we didn't really shop alot & it's already 4.05pm, time to board the plane...

We got a window seat, though it's near the left wing. In the past, I don't like to see near the wings, because it'll obstruct my views of the beautiful sun. But I can't to realise that it's actually quite nice to take photos of the sun together with the airplane wing...

At 5.40pm (6.40pm in Singapore), we reached Bangkok. Very excited & happy, to arrive at this foreign country... With the pre-trip information from colleagues & friends, we roughly know where to go & get a cab, but we forgot to exchange Thai Baht before leaving the custom. So just got to go to some money changer in the airport. (We've totally no Thai Baht with us then!)

Traffic in Bangkok is pretty bad at peak periods. Pollution on the roads are quite horrible too. It took us some time before we get to our hotel, Legacy Suites Hotel. To our surprise, this hotel is so new, with pretty good security & spacious...

Wow.... amazing... looking at that, there's really no regrets choosing to stay in this place. (Reviews about this hotel actually wasn't good, don't know why.) According to the taxi driver, this hotel is pretty new, just a few months old. And by our observation, this hotel could be a joint venture with some Japanese company. There were quite alot of Japanese staying in this hotel...

After exploring enough, we went out to grab some bites from the streets before heading to Asia Hotel for Calypso Cabaret Show. Woaw... you got to take a look at them... They're really pretty. Though the tickets for the show is abit steep, but the money is paid-off by the good choreography and their beautiful costumes...

With that, we ended our programme for the day. It's already 1am, so sleepy & tired. Got to wake up early for interesting itinerary for tomorrow...

Zzz...
